  5. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button on your printer for one second to turn the Wi-Fi function on.
  6. Use your computer or mobile device to select the SSID of your printer and enter the password.
  7. When the connection is established, the Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi) indicator lights in blue.

Be careful not to hold the Wi-Fi button for too long. If you hold it for five seconds or more, the printer will enter the WPS mode and any connection using Wireless Direct will fail.

You should also know that you can’t connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi while using Wireless Direct. To use the Internet, use a wired connection (when a computer is connected), or connect using Infrastructure Mode.
